After weeks of progress and hard work, we're finally ready to release the newest update to the public. This update was met with A LOT of internal changes which may not be obvious at first glance.

Let's start with the basics!

✨ You can now use ActorTools to upload your own characters!

ActorTools got updated to support not only making your own Actor but uploading them as well. You'll find a new button and very simple fields to fill out before uploading your Actor! After that, you'll be seeing them in the Actor Selection screen from the app!

🤝 Actors Shared by Users? We've got That!

Presenting the Community Actors tab! The Actor Selection screen got a small update to allow users to share their own characters and keep the official ones clearly separated from custom ones. Just upload your Actor as Public and they will show up there!

📸 Screenshot AND Record Videos with NO Software!

We've added a new button to allow on-the-spot screenshots and videos! This little button has two modes: screenshot and recording mode. Just hover over the button and a swap icon will show up. Press on it and you'll see the instant change. You can always go to Settings to change their configuration! Recording videos is still experimental and -as such- doesn't record audio directly yet.

🔗 Hyperlinks, Side Chat Expanded & "Is Typing" Indicator 

Side Chat got upgraded! It allows for hyperlinks, better image display support and adding more than only one image in your message. A Typing Indicator has also been added so you know when someone's about to say something! This is only a Side Chat implementation. The Main Chat will have to wait until its turn.

⚙ A New Look for Settings Screen

Goodbye to the old, ugly blueish color from previous versions! We've revamped it with a look more in tune with Actor Select style.

🎭 Remastered Mode Selection with New Images

Following the same vein as Settings, the mode selection (Online / Offline) got its share of love and members of our team dedicated their time to giving it a new style! These images change every time you open the app... What will you be greeted with?

💻 Don't Miss our Updates Anymore! A Built-In Updater

Do you use Discord/Google auto-login and don't get to see the news section of the login screen? A new update has come out and you never noticed? No need to fear anymore! We've added a built-in updater. If there's a new update, you'll be greeted with a pop-up telling you about the new release with a button to download the latest version right away!

🐞 Bug-fixes, bug-fixes and more bug-fixes

Now that we've gone through most of the new features, let's see what are the things that got fixed for this new update. Keep in mind that there are several of them (even server-side) and some undocumented ones as well, so we will only list the ones fixed in the app.

• Fixed an issue where the default group wasn’t created when making a new room.

• Fixed the main log system behavior and visual issues.

• Fixed custom movement sync — other users no longer “jump” upwards before moving to their proper position.
  

• Fixed the arrow key navigation inside the “Type Something…” input field.
  

• Fixed an issue where messages starting with "<" weren’t showing up correctly.

• Fixed long usernames not wrapping correctly.
  

• Fixed the settings gear being visible to non-owners.

• Fixed the screenshot/video button behavior not working before release.

• Fixed an issue where changing rooms didn’t update the background correctly.

• Fixed side chat cache message size (cache wasn't big enough and images reloaded when you scrolled).

• Fixed system log max height clipping issues.

• Fixed a library alert message that kicked users out upon pressing “Accept.”

• Fixed the “Return to Home” text being displayed in other language.

• Fixed a crash when users created groups.

• Fixed a visual glitch where minimizing and reopening the app caused characters using breathing effects to loop between 0 height and normal.
  

• Fixed guest restrictions not displaying proper alert messages.

• Fixed notification duration inconsistencies (now longer by default).

• Fixed stacked message glitch where one blank message blocked all subsequent messages from showing.

• Fixed a dice bug where rolling extremely high values broke the dice screen.

• Fixed settings redesign, now fully functional.

• Fixed updater and version check logic between client and server.

• Fixed private actors handling and separation from public ones.

• Fixed actor loading to use server responses instead of index.json.

• Fixed Actor Creator resetting the view every time you zoomed in and then proceeded with the next emote.

• Fixed a bug with Actor Creator not listing emotes.json fields in order if they were numbered (1, 10, 2, 20, etc.).

• Fixed Actor Creator not resizing the images to fit the container they were displayed on.

• And sleepless nights fixing bugs of the new Upload Actor screen.

🎀 Afterword

All in all, this is the last important update before 0.7.5, which will implement the lobby screen and be the last step before facing 0.8.0 and the inclusion of all RP features. This update also breaks compatibility with the previous version so keep that in mind!
